Ingrid Bloxsom Rill

Ingrid Bloxsom Rill left her family and friends for her journey to heaven on March 16, 2015 in Fremont, CA at the age of 51. Ingrid leaves behind her husband Greg, her parents Dave and Ursel, her daughter Stefanie, and her grandson James. Ingrid attended Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, California. She was on both the Junior Varsity and Varsity high school swim team, the Mission Mermaids. Following graduation from high school in 1980, Ingrid attended San Jose State University and while in attendance received an Army ROTC Scholarship. She graduated from SJSU in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science, Nursing (BSN) with a Minor in Military Science and her Public Health Nurse License. Following college, Ingrid served in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps, 5/86 to 7/90. While in service, First Lieutenant Ingrid Bloxsom was awarded The Army Commendation Medal and a Department of the Army Certificate of Achievement. Following service and for twenty years, Ingrid worked as an RN in various assignments and duties (charge nurse on Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Urology, and Ear Nose & Throat wards; registry nurse in acute and long-term care hospitals; follow-up Home Team member) throughout the Bay Area. Ingrid also continued to advance her education and training right up to her departure from the living. In spite of continuing and sometimes severe health problems, struggles, dilemmas and hardships, Ingrid survived and continued her concern for others and her love for her parents, her daughter, and her husband. Ingrid enjoyed bicycling, walking, swimming, crossword puzzles and Ingrid especially enjoyed talking with her husband, parents and daughter. Ingrid spoke both English and German. Ingrid was loved, cherished and respected. Rest in Peace. HAIL MARY, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. GLORY BE to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen She was laid to rest on March 20, 2015 at Irvington Memorial Cemetery in Fremont, CA.
