Eliseo R. Canete Jr.

Eliseo R. Canete, Jr., 50 years old, of Fremont, CA, passed away on May 31, 2021 after over a yearlong battle with Cancer. He was born on September 19, 1970 in Cebu City, Philippines and moved to Fremont, CA in 1991. Eliseo was a meticulous handyman. He had a knack for dismantling and fixing stuff. He lived a free-spirited lifestyle, liked the outdoors, enjoyed cooking, and listening to the 80’s songs. Eliseo is survived by Nigel Deane Canete (son); Ruby Jane Canete (daughter-in-law); Nadine Olivia Canete and Jon Rigel Canete (grandchildren); Eliseo Canete III (son); Lydia De los Reyes Trevino (mother); Ann Marie Perez (sister}; Arnold D. Canete (brother); Lyda May Navarro (sister); Elmer Canete (brother); Edgar Perez, Rocky Navarro, and Crisel Canete (in-laws); Michael Dane Perez, Eliseo Gifred Canete, Arnold S. Canete, Elmer Vince Canete, Kyle Navarro, Rey-Rodrick Navarro, and Darrelle Canete (nephews); Diane Dominique Perez (niece). He is preceded in death by Eliseo D. Canete, Sr. (father). Before Eliseo’s passing, he adamantly wished to reconnect with his relatives in the Philippines, U.S., Canada, and Australia. Through social media, his wish was gleefully granted. A memorial service will be held at 1000 on June 7, 2021 at Fremont Chapel of the Roses in 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Reception to follow from 1100-1300 at World Gourmet Buffet Restaurant in 6010 Stevenson Blvd., Fremont, CA 94538. A private inurnment will be held at Irvington Memorial Cemetery at a later date. The family of Eliseo D. Canete, Jr. wishes to thank the Losloso family for taking Eliseo in as their own.
